Zipp Speed Weaponry - 2009 Refresh
In late 2009, Zipp wanted a reskinning of their website while maintaining the existing structure and framework. Because of my previous experience with this client and their website, I was selected to be the front end developer for this job.
I took this opportunity to employ some new css3 techniques that I had learn of at An Event Apart Chicago a couple months prior. Some of these techniques were (and not limited to) using RGBA for background and shadow coloring, box shadows (Webkit, Moz, and CSS3), and Webkit transitions.
I also used this as an example to co-workers that a design does not have to be constant accross multiple browsers in order to maintain a clean, professional look. As an example, I used the aforementioned techniques for modern browsers and simply left these small details out for the older browsers.
